VAST Track Club Celebrates Our Newest All-Americans
VAST Track Club is proud to celebrate Musah Matthews and Naima Belle Tazeh, our newest All-Americans following outstanding performances at the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa.
Musah Matthews — DOUBLE ALL-AMERICAN
3rd Place — 200m Hurdles
5th Place — 100m Hurdles
What makes Musah’s accomplishments even more impressive is that 2026 was his first season competing as a hurdler. In just one season, Musah went from learning and developing in the event to standing on the podium at the Junior Olympics and establishing himself as a nationally recognized top athlete!
His performances in Iowa are a testament to his hard work, coachability and the development that takes place within the VAST Track Club program. This is only the beginning, and we are excited to see how far Musah can go as he continues developing his skills in the hurdles.
Naima Belle Tazeh — ALL-AMERICAN
Belle earned All-American honors with an outstanding 3rd-place finish in the 400m Dash, putting her among the nation’s best. Her success is a reflection of the qualities she brings to the track every day. She is hardworking, dedicated, positive and always ready to put in the work necessary to improve.
Finishing third at the Junior Olympics is an incredible accomplishment, but for those who have watched Naima train and compete throughout the season, it is also the result of countless hours of preparation, determination and a willingness to continually challenge herself.

VAST Track Club proudly celebrates our athletes who earned the opportunity to compete on one of the biggest stages in youth track and field — the 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa. The 2026 AAU Junior Olympic Games were held July 27–August 8, 2026, with Track & Field competition taking place August 3–8 at Drake Stadium at Drake University.
Qualifying for the Junior Olympics is an accomplishment in itself. It represents months of training, discipline, sacrifice and outstanding performances throughout the season. We congratulate every VAST athlete who earned Junior Olympic qualification, and we give special recognition to the athletes and families who made the trip to Iowa to represent VAST on the national stage.
