Scott Gross

Track Club Coach

A Tampa native and graduate of Chamberlain High School (Class of 2001), Coach Scott developed his passion for athletics early as a multi-sport athlete competing in both football and track. On the track, he specialized in the 100-meter dash and was a key contributor as the anchor leg of his school’s 4x100-meter relay team, where speed, precision, and teamwork were critical to success.

Coach Scott continued his academic and athletic journey at the University of Florida, where he competed with the UF club track team. This experience allowed him to refine his sprint mechanics, race strategy, and training discipline—principles he now brings to every athlete he coaches.

With over five years of experience coaching youth athletics, he now works with the advanced sprint group, working with athletes who are serious about maximizing speed, refining technique, and competing at a high level. He emphasizes explosive power, acceleration phases, top-end speed mechanics, relay execution, block starts, and race-day performance. Known for his detail-oriented approach, he focuses on the small technical improvements that produce measurable results on the track.

In addition to coaching, Coach Scott is a legal professional and a partner at a successful legal practice. He brings the same discipline, preparation, and strategic mindset from his professional career into his training philosophy—helping athletes not only compete, but excel. Off of the track, Coach Scott enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, golfing, and following Gator athletics.
