Taylor Sharpe brings an accomplished competitive background, strong leadership experience, and a genuine passion for developing the next generation of student-athletes to VAST Track Club.
A former standout 400-meter runner, Taylor competed collegiately for the University of Florida and internationally as a member of the Canadian National Team. Throughout her career, she distinguished herself at both the collegiate and international levels, earning five All-American honors, multiple SEC Conference medals, and a Bronze Medal at the Pan American Games. Her leadership abilities were also recognized on the international stage, where she served as Team Captain of the Canadian National Junior Team.
Taylor’s experience as an elite athlete gives her a firsthand understanding of the discipline, consistency, resilience, and mental preparation required to perform at a high level. As a coach, she is passionate about using those experiences to help young athletes develop not only their physical abilities, but also the confidence, work ethic, and mindset necessary to succeed both on and off the track.
Her commitment to student-athlete development extends beyond athletics. Taylor earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida in 2019 and went on to earn a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida in 2021. Her background in education and leadership complements her athletic experience and strengthens her ability to mentor, communicate with, and positively influence developing athletes.
At VAST Track Club, Taylor is committed to helping athletes recognize their potential, embrace the process of improvement, and develop the habits necessary to pursue excellence. She brings the perspective of an accomplished collegiate and international competitor together with an educator’s approach to leadership—making her a valuable part of VAST’s mission to develop exceptional athletes and exceptional young people.
